Do you want to create positive change in our community but feel that you don't know where to start or feel your leadership skills aren't strong enough.

Leadership Training for Older Persons can help you again the skills and talents you need to have a strong and clear voice in our community. We will teach you the practical, hands-ons on leadership skills you need to meet your leadership goals from sitting on a board or committee, speaking to City Council to starting your own community project.

What will I Learn?

During this 7 week program you will learn to develop practical, hands-on skills in leadership taught by Asheville Area Community Leaders.

Topics Covered Include:
What is Leadership?, Marketing Your Community Project, Fundraising, Diversity,  Team Building,  Running Meetings,  Project Coordination, Public Speaking and many more

Classes are supportive to all levels of Leadership. There is no need to be intimidated in our classes, we all have something to learn from each other.

Who Should Take This Program?

If you are currently a volunteer and want to take on a more active role or just thinking of starting to be active in our community this course will help you meet your goals.
